Ken Prescott Belmont Lake
Ken Prescott was born in London, Ontario in 1938 and attended the Danforth Technical School in Toronto. He has worked as an advertising designer, art director and freelance graphic designer between his travels throughout the Far East, Southeast Asia, Australia, Europe, Africa and the South Pacific.
He has been exhibiting his works for over 40 years in both solo and group exhibitions throughout Canada and the United States. In 1975, he moved to Vancouver and soon after was elected to senior member status and a chairman of The Federation of Canadian Artists.
I have been painting for over 10 years and absolutely love it! I am a local artist from Northbrook, ON and have had the opportunity to show my art in various locations in Toronto and New York. My work is an expression of who I am and where I have been. My art is full of emotion and my paintings have signified milestones and transitions in my life. I normally paint in fairly large scale and all of my work is filled with lots of texture, colour and depth.
My paintings; like people, have many layers which you sometimes have to look closely to see.
