Quietly Coffee
Quietly Coffees are very special single origin coffees from small farms all over the world. Carefully roasted in small batches to celebrate the unique characteristics of each region. Flavours range from very citrus fruit flavours to chocolate and everything in between. Quietly is located just down the road from Havelock in Stirling, Ontario (owner Scott's home town). We are very grateful to have Quietly so close to us.
We will be serving Quietly Coffee as part of our rotating selection of coffees at our cafe once it is open. We will also have beans for sale to take home. In the meantime, we have beans for sale right here! On our online store until the cafe/retail bakery is open. Please add a note to your order if and how you would like your coffee ground.
*Note* We only have the Decaf available this week:
-we will have more coffee available soon
Shady Lane - Mexico, Lopez Family. Description: People have been drinking bitter dark roasts for over two-centuries and it seems careless to ignore history. While Shady Lane is certainly not a dark, it is a new way of roasting designed for the chocolatey sweetness and low-acidity. El Metate is flawless its balance of figgy, caramel sugars and the more dense body of great a dark chocolate mouse. Suitable for Espresso or Filter Coffee - 340g beans.
Decaf - Columbia, Gilberto Rojas. Decaf gets a bad rap because historically it was never well-grown green and typically is roasted too hot and too fast. However, if you start with great coffee, like this lot from Gilberto Rojas, and roast it with the decaf processing in mind, you get a cup that is breaming with caramelized banana, rich dark chocolate and sweet apple sauce. It tastes like Roja’s La Florida! Suitable for Espresso or Filter Coffee - 340g beans.

Rwanda - Humure. Description: Humure is a sweet and soft cup. There are loads of bright berry notes. It is very reminiscent of those thick syrupy pools that form around frozen strawberries. The cup is thick with a satisfying array of whipped cream notes that perfectly set up the chocolate finish. When it all comes together, it is like a strawberry milkshake or the crisp chocolate cookie wafer bite of a Kit-Kat. Suitable for Filter Coffee - 250g beans.

Kenya - Kiangoi. The Kenyan is full of strong fruit flavours (raspberry and apple) along with sweet vanilla notes. It is one of my favourite coffees and my preferred coffee in the afternoon (if I need an afternoon coffee, which is most days). 250g bags of beans. It isn't as fresh as we would usually prefer to sell coffee. Still very good, I drink it every day. As such it is on sale at a very reasonable price!
